faux wood blinds
May 27, 2010 Worth Blogging
Will there still be faux wood blinds in the near future? Would anything still be made out of wood? If you go to TED dot com, a site that features brilliant innovators and educators, we would probably be aiming for non-wood materials for building houses so that we can preserve our forest.
Possibilities are endless and a lot of things are changing. We shouldn’t be too drastic though and always research before jumping into any new technology fad. We have to make sure if it’s really environmentally correct.

May 27, 2010 Ideas, Worth Blogging
There’s so much to learn more in this especially in the 21st century. Imagine that activities and work have been one thousand times more productive and efficient ever since technology came in. I mean we were able to build computers and send people to the moon in the span of one hundred years!
It now makes me think that time is going too fast and people are growing up too fast too. People can now do so much in five years time. Will there be a 16gb processor after five years? Most likely yes.
smartphones are like mini-netbooks
May 27, 2010 Cellphones, Worth Blogging
I’ve been reading up on HTC’s newest smartphone called the HTC Desire. There is also HTC Legend which is sleeker and looks more beautiful but Desire packs more power. I’ve been looking at the specifications and watching video reviews and I can say that it is probably the best Android phone out there.
There are competitions though in the form of Nokia’s N9000 and also Samsung but HTC holds such a great promise. What I like about smartphones is that they are just like mini-netbooks. I can search anything even the best weight loss pills anywhere I go.

It feels so good…
May 20, 2010 Cellphones, Ideas
It’s been a while since I first thought of Rooting my Cliq. I didn’t do it before cos I couldn’t find information on how to root a Motorola Cliq. But last night, I started tinkering my phone. Oh men, it took me ages to successfully root it cos there are lots of false and incomplete tutorials in Youtube. Actually, my hubby got irritated and annoyed with me already because I kept bugging him to help me read the long list of instructions. Also, he needed to call several people this morning and since the phone was unavailable, he couldn’t use it. After several times of doing the procedures and just tonight I’ve finally rooted my Cliq. I’m confident that I can get my phone back to a working state again if not I wouldn’t dare myself to hack my phone. I was having fun though cos I’m able to use the DOS commands again haha, shallow, I know! I feel so happy every time I accomplish something regardless of its importance. I like to tinker stuff like this as well cos I think, I’m a technical person :p
Anyways if you are an Android or a Motorola Cliq user and want to hack your phone, be careful with finding a good tutorial. Lots of people are making money out of it by giving other people a hard time so that they will turn into them if they can’t fix their phone after messing it up. That’s what I’m thinking while reading all the information.
In connection above, I’d like to share the tutorial I used to Root my Cliq so you won’t end up on a wrong tutorial that’s scattered around Youtube. This is the best tutorial I’ve read from almost two days of figuring out my phone.
These links are posted according to which steps is the first thing to do:
- How to Root the Motorola Cliq
- How To: Set Up ADB/USB Drivers for Android Devices
- How to load a custome ROM on the Motorola Cliq
Just read the instruction carefully and you’ll be fine. It is the best idea as well if you read all the people’s comment to each of this instructions. Trust me, your time consumed by doing all these are worth a thousand times. The new UI of flashed ROM given by the tutorial above are quite impressive. Once your phone is rooted, there’s no limit on what you’re going to do with your phone. You can even make your own ROM.
You are free to leave a comment or contact me if you have some problems on Rooting your Motorola Cliq. Have fun!

what are the best toys today?
May 14, 2010 Ideas
I was thinking of what to get for my daughters for their birthdays. I tried to look inside the toy store thinking of getting her a doll or one of those poly pocket toys but as I entered the toy store, I found to be surrounded by all sorts of gadgets.
When previously large dolls could only blink or talk, now they can walk and have more responses than we could have ever imagined. More little laptops are also available as kids are introduced to the computer as such a young age. As much as I love technology, I still prefer the good old games and maybe, I’d get a board game for my kids this time. But wait, even monopoly has automated their system!

Top upcoming PS3 games
May 14, 2010 Consoles, Video Games
Sony has had a really good year so far. The start of 2010 was awesome with Sony releasing a lot of really good games for the PS3. The year started off with the action packed game Bayonetta then followed by games like Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy XIII, Yakuza 3 and of course the ever so popular God of War 3. All of these games are fantastic. Although right now, everything has cooled off a little bit. When ever I visit GameStop, I don’t really see anything new that I want to play. That doesn’t mean that the PS3 is done for the year though. When you think about it, It’s only May and we still have more than half of the year to go and there’s a bunch of good titles that are coming out soon.

First up is my most anticipated game for the year which is Crysis 2. I never got to play Crysis on the PC because it’s a monster when it comes to system requirements. My PC is not that hardcore, but I always wanted to play this game. So, here we go! Next we have Call of Duty Black Ops. It should be a very enjoyable game knowing that it’s Call of Duty. Another highly anticipated game is Medal of Honor. I wonder how it would fare against COD. Very interesting. Now, outside of the FPS genre we have games like Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Mafia II, Final Fantasy XIV, The Last Guardian and much more. Now, these that I mentioned are only the big name games, there are still more “under the radar” games that are also coming out. You know how those can surprise us sometimes. Remember Demon Souls? Remember Blazblue? Who would’ve have thought that those games would be as good as they are?
Now, 2010 should really be a very exciting year not just for the Ps3 but for the whole gaming industry. I’m sure that all the games that I have mentioned are going to be awesome and should keep all of us gamers busy the whole year. Bye for now and have fun playing!

3D is a trending topic in tech today…
They say that 3D is the next generation in advancing technology just like tablets are now suddenly popping up because of the popularity and mixed reviews of the Apple iPad but take note that it isn’t the first tablet. Now 3D is the in thing for movies. Practically almost every blockbuster has a 3D version and they’re even showing Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D next 2 months.
Gaming now too will be in 3D and also television experience. You can probably in the future design your own 3D avatar that will look the perfect you without the weight loss supplements here and have your avatar roam the room. 3D is going to be a hit whether we like it or not.

A common sensitive issue…
May 8, 2010 Ideas, Worth Blogging
This is going to be such a sensitive issue but I want to know if you know anybody who is taking drugs or has a drug problem? It’s taboo in some places while accepted in others but no matter how we face the issue, it’s still a big problem for the users and their friends and family.
If you really care about this friend of yours, you would recommend treatment and drug detoxification. They don’t have to be alone in this ordeal. There is a rapid detox for opiates, narcotics and other drugs. The most important thing here too is that we need to show them that they are not alone and they have a chance to go back to their old lives. They don’t need these to be happy for these will destroy their lives later on. There is still hope.

Android phones are dominating the…
May 8, 2010 Cellphones
Android phones are in and are trying to dominate the smartphone market. Now that I think about it, they do have a chance at beating the iPhone 3GS especially the HTC smartphones such as HTC Legend and Desire. They have garnered very positive reviews from sites.
They both have wifi so if you need to know anything like eczema, then just google it on the web and you would know. These smartphones have such great user interface and also what everyone is raving about them is their fast performance and transition of applications. This is seriously making me consider getting one.

Spots on your computer screen…
May 8, 2010 Worth Blogging
What are those spots on your computer screen? Your little baby does indeed look like it needs an acne treatment right? Taking care of your computer screens is very important because not only does it give off a bad image, its also very unhealthy.
There are millions of microbe and dog hair and probably dead skin cells on your computer screen right now and you might just “accidentally” brush your cheeck on it and that would be very unhygenic. Take care of yourself and don’t forget to take care of your computers too.
