Have you heard about the HD Phone?

I bet you have LOL! Just a quick reminder that this entry is not a review for HTC HD7 or Windows Phone 7. It’s my personal experience with HD7 and this new OS in town, Windows Phone 7.  So anyways, here’s the story! Last Valentine’s day my hubby ordered it online on the t-mobile website. They had a promo since my 2-yr contract ended already I got the privilege to get it for free. I only added plus $10 to my regular plan for the 4G connection. To sum it all, here’s a list of what I like and dislike about this phone.

To name a few, these are my most like:

  • NETFLIX – So awesome to know that I can now stream my favorite movies and TV shows straight to my phone with the phone’s HD display, it’s like I’m watching it on our HD TV too.
  • Music+Video hub – It has a ZuneHD environment. I have now my forever want MP3 device for so long. Since I promise not to spend a lot of money this year for a toy, I am so happy to know that I don’t need to buy the ZuneHD cos I have it in one device.
  • Huge Screen  with 4.3 physical size – My ultimate fave part of this phone is the big screen. I can fully enjoy browsing the world wide web especially all the social network site that I’m a member of. From what I’ve read, this is the largest display of any Windows Phone 7 handset in the U.S. This is what I’ve been wanting for a mobile phone, huge screen!
  • Windows Phone 7 -  is the new OS. I’m totally experiencing a new visual design. Totally different from iPhone and Android. Animated icon is quite cute and fun to look at for a second while waiting to load a program.
  • Xbox Live Games - I love most of the games here because they are mostly made by professional game developers. The quality of the games here cannot be compared to other phone games. They’re just so much polished.
  • I love love the kickstand at the rear. It enable the phone to stand upright when you are watching videos.

What I don’t like about:

  • Memory is not expandable. I’ll be stuck in 16GB until the time I get a new phone.
  • The speaker is quite weak unless you put on the headset that comes with it.
  • For some reason, while browsing the Windows Market and downloading 3 or more apps consecutively, it just stopped twice and won’t work anymore. You have to restart your phone to bring it back to normal again.

My conclusion, I’m still happy to have this phone. It’s my first time to own an HD phone and it’s so awesome! I think I’m the first in my circle of friends to own an HD phone. Thank you to my DH for ordering it for me. Also, one of the reason we decided to have it is because this is gonna be the next big thing according to our monthly subscribed gadget magazine. I just want to experience it now before it goes viral LOL and since we already have the privilege as well. BTW, I named it Boomer²! Remember Boomer from a long time ago?

We have HD phones in the market right now so what’s next? 3D Phones? @_@

smartphones are like mini-netbooks

I’ve been reading up on HTC’s newest smartphone called the HTC Desire. There is also HTC Legend which is sleeker and looks more beautiful but Desire packs more power. I’ve been looking at the specifications and watching video reviews and I can say that it is probably the best Android phone out there.

There are competitions though in the form of Nokia’s N9000 and also Samsung but HTC holds such a great promise. What I like about smartphones is that they are just like mini-netbooks. I can search anything even the best weight loss pills anywhere I go.

Android phones are dominating the…

Android phones are in and are trying to dominate the smartphone market. Now that I think about it, they do have a chance at beating the iPhone 3GS especially the HTC smartphones such as HTC Legend and Desire. They have garnered very positive reviews from sites.

They both have wifi so if you need to know anything like eczema, then just google it on the web and you would know. These smartphones have such great user interface and also what everyone is raving about them is their fast performance and transition of applications. This is seriously making me consider getting one.
