Vignette Android App Rated 4 out of 5

I’ve been using this android application for almost a month now. Check out the features and Pros & Cons below. My favorite effects and frames to use are Toy Camera, Vintage, Lens Effect, Customised (thats how the owner spells it) and Grungy, Polaroid for frames effect. If you love photography or just love taking pictures and love to play with color tones and muted colors, this android application is made for you.

Pros & Cons:

Pros

  • Tons of cool visual effects to add to camera phone photos
  • Import pictures from your existing photo gallery to apply effects to
  • Offers 10x digital zoom
  • Geotag your location within photos

Cons

  • So far the Pro version can only handle up to 5 megapixel resolution

Features:

Vignette Android App is a nice camera app that can possibly replace the default camera app for most Android phones (although the latest Android 2.2 “Froyo” version offers a limited set of sweet comparable goodies too). Using the app makes you seem like somewhat of a camera phone pro with it’s built in filters and effects:

  • Normal – generic film effect
  • Vignette – focus attention at the center of the frame
  • Porta – Smooth skin tones for flattering portraits
  • Velvia – vivid colors for nature photography
  • Ilford – Classic black and white
  • Plus more like… Toy camera, Vintage, Colour Highlight, Tinted monochrome, Lens effects, Cinematic and even customize filters by combining them

Plus many photo frame effects like rounded edges, oval shaped, Polaroid photo borders, panoramic and more. You can import and apply Vignette effects to photos. Geotag pictures which will save your location in the photos’ metadata. Offers 10x digital zoom (while most Android phones offer a default of 2-4x digital zoom), however we notice going up to 10x won’t do your pics any justice.

I'm lost...they dont really care...

It feels so good…

It’s been a while since I first thought of Rooting my Cliq. I didn’t do it before cos I couldn’t find information on how to root a Motorola Cliq. But last night, I started tinkering my phone. Oh men, it took me ages to successfully root it cos there are lots of  false and incomplete tutorials in Youtube. Actually, my hubby got irritated and annoyed with me already because I kept bugging him to help me read the long list of instructions. Also, he needed to call several people this morning and since the phone was unavailable, he couldn’t use it. After several times of doing the procedures and just tonight I’ve finally rooted my Cliq. I’m confident that I can get my phone back to a working state again if not I wouldn’t dare myself to hack my phone. I was having fun though cos I’m able to use the DOS commands again haha, shallow, I know!  I feel so happy every time I accomplish something regardless of its importance. I like to tinker stuff like this as well cos I think, I’m a technical person :p

Anyways if you are an Android or a Motorola Cliq user  and want to hack your phone, be careful with  finding a good tutorial. Lots of people are making money out of it by giving other people a hard time so that they will turn into them if they can’t fix their phone after messing it up. That’s what I’m thinking while reading all the information.

In connection above, I’d like to share the tutorial I used to Root my Cliq so you won’t end up on a wrong tutorial that’s scattered around Youtube. This is the best tutorial I’ve read from almost two days of figuring out my phone.

These links are posted according to which steps is the first thing to do:

Just read the instruction carefully and you’ll be fine. It is the best idea as well if you read all the people’s comment to each of this instructions.  Trust me, your time consumed by doing all these are worth a thousand times. The new UI of flashed ROM given by the tutorial above are quite impressive. Once your phone is rooted, there’s no limit on what you’re going to do with your phone. You can even make your own ROM.

You are free to leave a comment or contact me if you have some problems on Rooting your Motorola Cliq. Have fun!

my smallest pc

My new Motorola Cliq or Motorola MB200 is what I call the smallest PC. Smallest PC because I can do everything I do in my PC like blogging and social climbing. A week ago I extend my contract in T-mobile and decided to upgrade my phone after having our Sony Erricsson P990i for 3 yrs now. It was a great great phone. I can do everything with it as well but too slow to perform all the programs. Anyways, my new phone is very intricate and sophisticated. I so love it.  I’ve never been contented with a cellphone like this. I’ve been wanting a device like this for many years now. Remember a year ago that I posted an entry about WI-FI tablet? Thank God I was able to resist myself and wait a little more years for gadget like Motorola Cliq.

This entry is not a review cos I’m not good at it so I will just share what I’ve perused in other website.

Now everything is where you want it – in one place, on tap. Your friends, pics, emails, messages, and Facebook™, MySpace and Twitter happenings. Motorola CLIQ is the first phone to come with MOTOBLUR, the only service that can sync them all, with continuous updates and back ups. There are no logins or apps to open, and your data’s always safe. Talk about socialized.

The above statement means, you don’t need a lot of apps to just socialize online because MOTOBLUR has it all with live and continues updates and with notification. MOTOBLUR is love :D

List of my most fave features:

  • Customizable home screen – take note the home screen has a lot of widgets that doesn’t need to open and login.
  • Social Networks – Only MOTOBLUR syncs Facebook™, MySpace and Twitter– with no logins and no apps to open. Post your status, catch up and more, right from your home screen.
